Snow Days!
Its been a little while since our last post. But couldn’t resist some of the most recent photos from last weekend’s snow storm. We got about a foot, and it was beautiful packing snow, great for snow balls. Here is Odie out the night of the storm, and with steve the day after, and then two pooped puppies. :)

Our week with Steve
This past week was Christmas, as usual we spend it with my parents in Chesterfield, Virginia. But this time was a little different. We had a special guest, Steve! The 4.5 month old mini-goldendoodle is Melissa’s new puppy. He is such a sweet boy - he and Odie were non-stop the whole week. He couldn’t have had a better babysitter. We went on long walks, played in the leaves in the woods, and of course there were plenty of chasing and biting in the open yard. Odie has been asleep since Steve left, it’s a lot of wor being a big brother.

Guest Blogger - Melissa
This Monday I will be picking Steve up at the airport.
To have a dog has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember.
Katie has been incredibly supportive of this dream. When I had hoped to get a pup last Spring and it didn’t work out I was so sad-Katie got me out of my funk- she took me out to dinner and gave me a beautiful necklace and told me not to give up. If I wanted a dog I should get a dog! It is impossible to think of the past year and not think of all our talks and all of the support she has given me. I am so lucky to have her in my life.
More then any book or video the relationship Katie has with Odie has taught me so much about how to raise a puppy. Odie is an amazingly sweet dog- he has a great personality because Katie has been so attentive to him. She works on training him everyday. Everywhere we go people stop to pet Odie and talk with Katie about what a great dog he is. Odie truly is the mayor of Jersey City.
The idea that on Monday a little dog will be mine is overwhelming but I know that when he meets Katie and Odie he will start to feel like Jersey City is his home.

New Puppy!
Dont be scared he is not mine. But my closest friend Melissa has just added a new puppy to the Jersey City puppy contingency. His name is Archie and she has just put a deposit down on that cute face. More to come but Odie will have a new BFF shortly :)

Happy Birthday Mom!
For my birthday, I spent the beautiful day the ideal way. We went to the park with Uncle Tim and Aunt Melissa. South Mountain reservation in Maplewood NJ. The most fabulous dog park and hiking trails perfect for Odini to play and run off leash. It was fantastic. special thanks to Tim and Melissa for spending the best day with me and Odini.

Day off with Uncle Tim
Every weekday, I am confident that Odie is taken care of at K9dergarten. I know that besides leaving with a little extra doggie odor, he has had a long and puppy play filled day. But when Uncle Tim suggests that he would like to take Odini for the day, well, nothing makes me happier. Because I know that Uncle Tim will have a day of smiles and snuggles, and Odini will get a day filled with naps, walks and treats with his favorite Uncle.
Here are the pix I received while at work on Thursday. Keep in mind it wasn’t a relaxing Friday, back to back meetings. Most pix warm my heart, one well…you see what I mean. Thanks Uncle Tim.
